Meet Emily Ruth

I was introduced to yoga philosophy, mantra, breathing, and postures at a time in my life where I was in transition and in deep physical and emotional pain. It was during this time that I began to give myself permission to wonder what my life could look like if I centered self-care through yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, rest, and nature-based connection? Now, my life looks like sharing what's been shared with me.

  • I've studied with multiple teachers from the models of Restorative to Iyengar to Flowing. My classes center on the experience of poses and breathing, growing a capacity to track sensations, and deepening internal trust.

  • The western model of workout yoga is wildly limiting to the potential of a personal practice.

  • A spacious experience of connection, focus, and breath. Also, a supported child's pose.

  • Surfing, at the pottery wheel, wrangling my cats, or sitting with therapy clients.
