The vibe at class:
Energizing. Meditative. Fun!

  • Jen likes to play with the duality of strong, sweaty vinyasa flows with messages of kindness, compassion, and mindfulness in her classes. Clients can expect to start class with grounding and arriving back to the self, beautiful and powerful breath-to-movement flows, and a gentle and tender cool-down to release into rest.

  • I wish everyone knew that yoga is not about comparing yourself to others - it is quite the opposite. The first day that I sat in my yoga teacher training retreat, the purpose of my yoga practice popped into my head. This purpose was presence. Yoga is about arriving back to the self, to the present moment, and discovering the deep truths and messages that your body and inner self are trying to tell you! If you take even one minute on the mat to listen to yourself and your needs, you have successfully practiced yoga.

  • My favorite yoga pose is Half Moon pose (Ardha Chandrasana) because I feel like I'm flying!

  • You can find me studying public health, writing papers, researching mindfulness-based interventions, laughing with my friends and my partner, dancing, sleeping, reading woo-woo books, frolicking in nature, and drinking large quantities of rooibos tea!
