Join Kate for a fun, interactive workshop designed for beginners and more advanced practitioners alike! You will learn:
the mechanics of a handstand and which parts of the body need to do what in order to successfully balance on your hands
different moves and practices for strength, mobility, and flexibility that will support you in your handstand practice
at least 5 different ways to practice getting into handstands so you have lots of options to take home with you!
This will be great particularly if you want to do more handstands or arm balances but get a little freaked out when it actually comes down to it. It's designed to get you comfortable getting upside down and will teach you the skills you need to practice to learn to trust yourself when you handstand! Beginners welcome!
About Kate
Kate has been teaching yoga for 12 years, and for most of her life she was terrified of handstands. A couple years into her teaching journey she started training to teach adult gymnastics strength classes, and needed to work through her fear of going upside down. Through lots of support, patience, and determination, she made friends with that fear and found a deep love for standing on her hands, flipping her perspective, and cultivating the strength, fire, and balance required to play upside down. She brings tools from both yoga and gymnastics to help you build your handstand strength, mobility, and flexibility from the ground up, and creates a space for even the most timid but willing human to build the confidence to go upside down.
What should attendees bring?
Water, a small towel, possibly a notebook if they want to write down the different practices

No refunds will be issued within 2 weeks of the workshop, but you can transfer your ticket to someone else, or offer it up as scholarship and Honey Yoga can find someone to take your place.
